The Perle SMI-1000-S2ST10 is a Gigabit Ethernet IP Managed Standalone Media Converter designed to provide seamless copper-to-fiber connectivity. It converts 1000Base-T (RJ45) to 1000Base-LX/LH (ST, single-mode up to 10km or multimode up to 550m with mode conditioning cable), enabling flexible, long-distance fiber deployments.
Engineered for high performance and reliability, this converter supports advanced features such as Smart Link Pass-Through, Fiber Fault Alert, Auto-MDIX with skew correction, jumbo frame transparency, and VLAN tagging.
