The Perle SMI-1000-S2ST120 is a high-performance Gigabit Ethernet IP Managed Standalone Media Converter designed to extend copper network connections over long-distance fiber links. Supporting 1000Base-T to 1000Base-X fiber conversions, this device enables seamless connectivity between RJ45 copper Ethernet and 1550nm single mode ST fiber for distances up to 120km (74.6 miles).
Engineered with advanced management capabilities, the SMI-1000 series provides IT professionals with flexibility, control, and reliability. Features include SNMP, CLI (Telnet/SSH), secure HTTPS web access, and centralized management through PerleVIEW.
