The Perle SMI-110-S1SC40D is a high-performance Fast Ethernet IP Managed Standalone Media and Rate Converter that provides seamless copper-to-fiber connectivity. Designed for enterprise and carrier-grade networks, it extends Ethernet connections up to 40 km (24.9 miles) over single-mode, single-fiber using an SC connector (1550nm TX / 1310nm RX).
This managed media converter supports advanced features such as Link Pass-Through, Far-End Fault detection, Auto-MDIX, VLAN tagging, QoS prioritization, bandwidth allocation, and secure management via SNMPv3, SSH, HTTPS, or PerleVIEW. With robust authentication options including TACACS+, RADIUS, and LDAP, it ensures secure network integration.
