The Perle SMI-1110-S2ST160 is a Gigabit Ethernet IP Managed Standalone Media and Rate Converter designed to extend copper-based network connections across long distances via fiber. Supporting 10/100/1000Base-T to 1000Base-X ST single-mode fiber (1550nm) up to 160 km (100 miles), this converter delivers reliable, transparent, and high-performance Ethernet-to-fiber connectivity.

Featuring advanced management through SNMP, CLI (Telnet/SSH), Web Browser, or PerleVIEW, IT administrators can fully monitor and control copper and fiber links. Enhanced features such as Smart Link Pass-Through, Fiber Fault Alert, Auto-MDIX, VLAN tagging, and QoS ensure optimal network performance and security.
