Description
The Cisco SFP-10G-BX40D-I is a 10GBASE-BX40 bidirectional SFP+ transceiver designed for long-range, single-fiber 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. Operating over standard single-mode fiber (SMF), this module enables full-duplex communication up to 40 km using wavelength division multiplexing (WDM), reducing fiber infrastructure requirements.
This industrial-temperature SFP+ transceiver transmits at 1330 nm and receives at 1270 nm, and must be paired with the complementary BX40U module on the opposite end of the link. It supports Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) for real-time performance diagnostics and is engineered for deployment in demanding environments such as service provider networks, metro Ethernet, and industrial or outdoor installations.
