The SMC TigerAccess SMC7824M/VSW Extended Ethernet Switch delivers cost-effective, high-speed broadband connectivity for multi-unit and enterprise environments such as hospitals, universities, and manufacturing facilities.
Using existing Category 1, 2, or 3 copper wiring, this VDSL2-based switch extends Ethernet service up to 800 feet (≈ 250 m) while providing up to 100 Mbps data throughput. It eliminates the need for costly rewiring by transmitting both voice and data over the same line as POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service).
With 24 RJ-11 VDSL ports and dual Gigabit RJ-45 uplinks, the SMC7824M/VSW simplifies broadband expansion for service providers and enterprises looking for reliable, managed extended-Ethernet performance.
