The Edgecore AS7816-64X is a powerful 2RU open network switch designed for top-of-rack (TOR) or spine deployments in high-performance data centers. Featuring 64 × QSFP28 ports, each supporting 100 GbE or 40 GbE, and breakout support for 25 GbE and 10 GbE, the AS7816-64X delivers non-blocking line-rate performance powered by the Broadcom StrataXGS Tomahawk II ASIC.
Driven by an Intel Xeon D-1518 quad-core CPU, the switch ensures robust control-plane performance and supports open-network environments with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE) for flexible NOS deployment — compatible with SONiC, Open Network Linux, Cumulus Linux, Cisco IOS-XR, and SnapRoute CN-NOS.
Designed for enterprise-grade reliability, it includes hot-swappable dual 850 W AC power supplies, 3+1 redundant fan modules, and power-to-port airflow for efficient thermal management.
